Ashley Grove Celebrates Grand Opening with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

July 30, 2015—Development partners, city officials, and residents celebrated the grand opening of Ashley Grove, a senior community, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the site.

Ashley Grove contains a three-story building featuring 39 one-and two-bedroom units and 4 two-bedroom ranch units with attached garages. The $7.6 million development contains accessible and universal design features, incorporates energy efficient design, and offers modern unit amenities.

Ashley Grove contains a community room, on-site property management, computer center, laundry facilities, fitness center, craft room, theater, picnic area, and offers supportive services to the residents.  Each home contains energy efficient appliances, central air conditioning, window coverings, dishwasher, laundry room with washer/dryer hookups and storage, kitchen pantry, walk-in-closets, linen closets, breakfast bar, and pre wiring for security features. In addition, the ranch homes feature a one car garage with storage, motion activated floodlights, front and rear entry, covered porch, and rear patio.

Ashley Grove was developed using a combination of Low Income Housing Tax Credits and a Housing Development Loan administered through the Ohio Housing Finance Agency, a construction loan through River Hills Bank which also provided a USDA RD 538 permanent financing loan through Bonneville Mortgage, an Ohio Affordable Housing Loan, and funding through the Ohio Capital Finance Corporation.  Equity investment was provided by Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing.
