Men’s Addiction Recovery Center

(Transitional supportive housing in Bowling Green, Kentucky)

August 10, 2016 —Developed by Wabuck Development Co. and Henderson Addiction Recovery Center, the Men’s Addiction Recovery Center (MARC) in Bowling Green, Kentucky welcomed residents with a grand opening on August 10, 2016. This new 44-unit center is part of the Recovery Kentucky program, which helps Kentuckians recover from chronic substance abuse and addictions, and move towards a life of sobriety and productivity. THE MARC is a facility that offers counselling programs and transitional housing for men who are homeless, chemical dependent, and/or incarcerated for drug related offenses.

The Men’s Addiction Recovery Center Green features efficiency units with a bathroom and kitchenette, Energy Star appliances, a community kitchen, dining hall, lounge, meditation chapel, laundry room, peer mentor office, pantry, and meeting rooms.

The Men’s Addiction Recovery Center was developed using a combination of Low Income Housing Tax Credits and a HOME loan administered through the Kentucky Housing Corporation, and a grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati. Equity investment was provided by Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing. The social service operations for MARC are subsidized by an annual Block Grant from the Governor’s Office for Local Development and an annual grant from the Department of Corrections.
