Ohio Capital Impact Corporation Grants over $1 Million

(OCIC awarded 55 grants to empower and enrich OCCH residents and improve the communities in which they live via the Carol Mount Peterson Resident Development Fund and the Place-Based Strategies Fund.)

The Ohio Capital Impact Corporation (OCIC), created in 2013 to administer Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing’s (OCCH) philanthropic activities, awarded approximately $1,009,134 in grant funding through the Carol Mount Peterson Resident Development Fund (RDF) and Place-Based Strategies (PBS) Fund initiatives in 2015.  The RDF programs improve the lives of OCCH residents in the areas of wellness, youth empowerment and education, adult advancement, senior enrichment, and summer camp.   The PBS grants improve the communities in which OCCH residents live.  A brief summary of all the winners can be found on the OCCH website.

The projects funded would not be possible without the help of the OCIC Impact Investors:  KeyBank; The Huntington National Bank; the Chase Bank; and Fifth Third Bank. The additional funding made possible through these organizations allowed for increased opportunities for our partners. We are thankful for their partnership and commitment to the communities they serve.

The 2016 applications will be available on the Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing’s (OCCH) website by the end of this year. In addition, there will be a Resident Services Roundtable held at the Ohio Housing Conference on December 3rd from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. During this session, partners will have the opportunity to inquire about the 2016 applications as well as discuss potential ideas with our team.
