Southwick Manor


September 24, 2015 - Southwick Manor, a new construction 54-unit senior housing development celebrated a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony with developers MV Affordable Housing LLC and Medina Metropolitan Housing Authority in Brunswick, Medina County.

Southwick Manor’s clock tower serves as a defining, visible landmark for the development, which offers one-and two-bedroom units with accessible, universal design, and energy efficient features.  Southwick Manor features on-site management, a computer center, fitness room, laundry facilities, and a community room with a kitchenette.

Home amenities include kitchen appliances, central air conditioning, carpeting, window blinds, storage, walk-in closets, kitchen pantry, and breakfast bars.

The $8.9 million Southwick Manor was developed using a combination of Low Income Housing Tax Credits and Housing Development Loan through the Ohio Housing Finance Agency, a construction to perm loan through FirstMerit Bank, and funding from Medina Metropolitan Housing Authority and Brunswick Housing Development Corporation. The project also received a predevelopment loan from the Ohio Capital Finance Corporation. Equity investment was provided by Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing.
